Fire Sprinkler systems are typically designed to contain fires long enough for occupants to evacuate and for the local fire department to arrive on the scene and extinguish the fire through traditional fire fighting means. However, many small fires have been extinguished by the sprinkler system.

An improperly maintained fire sprinkler system may not function as intended, and may also deteriorate and leak, causing expensive repairs.

We perform our inspections in accordance with NFPA 25 Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems (2008 edition). We also electronically document them and provide you with a computer generated easy to understand report.


Depending on the type of system and the equipment installed in your facility NFPA 25 has requirements for visually inspecting certain components on a weekly, monthly, annual, 3-year, 5-year, 10-year, 20-year and 50-year basis. Our data base can track these minimum frequencies for each of your systems so that you remain compliant and your systems stand ready. Many of the inspection activities can be performed and documented by your maintenance staff and we would be glad to train them on your specific systems.


Again, NFPA 25 has minimum frequency requirements for the testing of certain components of fire sprinkler systems. Most testing activities should be done by a qualified fire sprinkler contractor but on some simple wet systems we can also train
maintenance personal on performing quarterly tests.


There are some components that will need maintained such as lubricating valves adjusting air regulators or packings on valves or fire pumps, draining low-point drains on dry systems etc. We can help you evaluate what items can be done in-house and where we can assist.


One of the purposes of these required frequencies is to catch needed repairs before they become critical or cause impairment of the system. We place a high priority on potentially critical repairs and do our best to make all repairs in a timely manor and if possible during the inspection. Our service rate is $75 per hour plus material and would apply to repairs done at time of inspection. We can also give a free quote for repairs if needed.
